I talked to them till my noodles went cold, but it didn't matter because they warmed my heart.
This is a short, simple but special moment that was captured down when I stopped by a road side stall for some local food to fill my grumbling tummy and to cool off from the killer heat during my solo ride from Phnom Penh - Siem Reap on Day 6 of my journey.
Before this, the old lady in red was all smiles when she saw me stop in front of her stall, looking starved. The minute I removed my helmet, she came forward and kept laughing in amazement, touched my face and squeezed my arms, and though I don't understand the language she spoke, I guess she was telling me I came a long way from home and told me to jiayou :)
I love the part where she went "Whooo!" 😁
These are the little things that keep me going, these are the people who touch my heart.
